I found the name on Angie’s list, where I had several people bid to fix my chimney. All of the bidders said the same thing–that moisture was causing the issues (both with the bricks and the stucco), and they mentioned that maybe the cap wasn’t that great on the top of the chimney–but NOT one of them mentioned that the liner might be the problem. The house was built in 1929–and probably the chimney hadn’t been dealt with since. Lindemann came out and explained that the flue from the waterheater/boiler/etc was probably galvinized and had probably broken down and was contributing to the water problem. His solution to replace that was a huge help. On top of that, they gave me a reasonable price–considering they were the only one to discuss the underlying cause of my bricks breaking down. They came out and removed the other liner–which was full of holes–and then they installed a sort of “accordian” type stainless steel liner. It wasn’t easy, but it was done. And I’m very pleased.
We found Lindemann after getting frustrated with a lack of responsiveness from other companies and/or receiving vastly different estimates without a clear scope of work. Lindemann was responsive, gave great recommendations and was easy to work with. The on-site staff was tidy, professional and helpful in navigating decisions when we needed it. Overall, it was a great experience. We would use Lindemann again with confidence.
Thank you so much to Lindemann Chimney for excellent service recently. Good friends of ours had their own chimney company and have been servicing us for years. They have recently moved away and recommended all their clientele to Lindemann. We were very happy with our service before and I hoped we would not be disappointed. I can happily say that we were not! They were easy to schedule, with an appointment available within days and the service was quick and professional. Thank you!
